JOHN WILLIAMS (1932 -
)
Mr. Williams was born in New York City
and later moved to California because his dad was a professional percussionist.
As a child, he studied piano, trombone, trumpet, and clarinet. Like
Mr. Mancini, he also studied at the Julliard School of Music in New York
City. He is a gifted pianist, conductor and composer. He has
composed serious music and jazz, but you know him best as the man who makes
movies come alive with sound. Have you ever heard of Star Wars?!

Mr. Williams is given credit for creating the soundtracks

Mr. Williams
has written music for television films (Heidi 1968) and television shows
like Gilligan's Island. He was formerly a conductor of the Boston
Pops (1980-1993) and still guest conducts with symphony orchestras.
He is currently taking the time to compose serious music and resuming his
work with the film industry.
